A bigger vehicle, paint correction if your finish needs it, and add-ons like full wheel coating push the total up from there, and we tell you the exact number before you commit — no surprises at pickup.

Why does the price change with vehicle size?

Because a Suburban isn't a Civic. Bigger vehicles have more square footage of paint, which means more coating product and more hours on the polisher and applicator. A compact takes us 4-6 hours; a full-size SUV or truck is 8-10+. More surface, more time, higher price — that's the whole logic, and we'd rather charge fairly by size than pad a flat rate to cover the big trucks.

Is paint correction included in the price?

No — and here's why that's actually honest. Ceramic locks in whatever your paint looks like the day we coat it. If there are swirl marks, wash scratches, or oxidation under there, the coating seals them in permanently. So if your paint needs it, we correct first ($399-$800 depending on how bad it is), then coat. A brand-new car usually doesn't need correction. An older daily that's seen a few automatic car washes probably does — we'll tell you straight after we look at it in the light.

What's the real difference between the $899 and the $1,699?

Durability, layers, and how much of the car gets coated. The $899 Sport is a single layer good for about a year — fine for a lease or a car you'll sell soon. The $1,199 Premium is dual-layer, lasts around four years, and adds the wheel faces. The $1,699 Ultimate is our triple-layer V2, coats the glass and trim too, beads water the hardest, and is built to hold up for years on a car you're keeping. You're not paying for a fancier name — you're paying for more coating, more prep, and more years.

Do you offer financing?

Yes. If you'd rather spread it out, we offer financing that lets you pay the coating off over 12-24 months instead of all at once. Ask us at quote time and we'll walk you through the options.

Why does your ceramic cost more than the $400 shop down the road?

Accepted Answer

Two things you can't see in a photo: the coating and the prep. We use genuine nano-ceramic coatings with real 9H hardness — not a spray sealant in a fancy bottle that washes off by spring. And every job includes full decontamination, clay bar, and surface prep, which is the boring part cheaper shops skip to hit that price. Skip the prep and you're just sealing dirt and swirls to the paint. On top of that our coatings carry a 4-8 year warranty. A cheap coating that fails in six months isn't cheaper — you're paying twice.

How long does it take, and can I wait for it?

Plan on dropping the car off, not waiting. Application is 4-6 hours for the Sport, 6-8 for the Premium, and 8-10 for the Ultimate — and that's before any paint correction. The coating also needs to cure, so we usually keep the car overnight so it sets up properly before it goes back out onto salted winter roads.

Is ceramic coating actually worth it in Calgary?

Accepted Answer

For most people who keep their car a while, yes — but I'll be straight about what it does and doesn't do. Ceramic gives you years of easy washing, real gloss, and protection from UV fade, bird droppings, road film, and winter salt residue. It makes maintenance genuinely faster and helps the paint stay presentable, which helps at resale. What it does NOT do is stop rock chips — that's paint protection film. If your worry is gravel on Deerfoot, we'd point you to PPF first. If it's keeping the finish clean, glossy, and easy to look after, ceramic earns its keep.
